[Rec] is a Spanish zombie movie, where people are facing an unknown demonic virus, which makes them to bloodthirsty killers. There are four movies in this franchise: [Rec], [Rec]², [Rec]³: Génesis and [REC] 4: Apocalipsis. We have put them in the right chronological order how they were intended to be watched.
The terrifying found-footage zombie movie, which keeps you in suspense with its intense atmosphere and shock-filled moments. A very good shot movie which makes you feel you're right in the middle of the action.
It does not have to do anything with the first 2 parts except the infection. It starts as a found footage movie and then switches to a standard shot movie. The movie itself is like a typical zombie movie and ...misses the terrifying moments from the first 2 parts. It is not scary at all but it is still a good and watchable zombie movie.
The second part of the series continues where the first part ended. It is a really shocking and creepy movie with a high tension that keeps you on your toes. This part is a very good addition to the first ...one and if you want to enjoy the surprises and twists you have to watch the first one. Both movies are perfect for a creepy zombie horror night and definitively a must watch!
The fourth and last part of the series is better than [Rec]³: Génesis and goes back to the story of the first 2 parts. It is being scary and claustrophobic again but it is no found-footage movie ...anymore. You could be tired of the procedure of the movie, which is almost the same as in the first 2 parts. If you're a fan of this saga watch it!
